GEEK Alert at KFC
What do you do on a Thursday night over a couple of cold cokes at KFC? Play video games of course! I thought this group of guys was quite amusing (when they weren't staring at me). Two of them looked to be in their 30's! And I'm not criticizing them. I'm glad they can still have fun. But it's not something you see every day...!
So is this a normal sight in China? Am I the only who thinks this is a bit amusing?

It's normal for kids or teenagers.I think if you are in your 30's and keep playing games without purpose,it won't be a good choice for your family,or you can say,life.

It is a normal pheonmena.But if you make noise or disturb others,i think KFC's manager should handle this thing.KFC is a place where you can eat and relax yourself.

It is normal in China. Maybe they don't have other places to go ,just staying at KFC. KFC is a good place for staying!

What is in the photo maybe a common phenomenon in China.Many young man spend their free time in the KFC or Mcdonald's.They regard it as a relax for themselves.On weekends they can call several friends to take a rest there.They can talk,laugh and play games as in your photo.I think it is normal.

I haven't seen so many old guy playing GAME BOYS at KFC.But it is quit common that everyone plays their own mobile phone while sitting together.Many of them might be using the QQ or micro blog.This might caused by the development of the technology.Since people have more way to communicate with each other,they choose other ways instead of communicating face-to-face.

It`s normal totally.In my hometown the KFC have children`s installation.It`s so cute.But,it`s also tired with parents not allow their children to play!

Surely,it is normal phenomenon in China,but I have special example of my friends and I.
When I had a trip to LiJiang（in YunNan province），and we had checked out our room，my friends and I had no place to stay until one of my friends bought the train tickles。So we had to stay in KFC for the whole of afternoon until we got the tickles.Of course，we ordered fries and cokes and just sat down in here for a long time and kept silence ，because we were too tired。So if we had no special situation，we won't stay in KFC for a long
sitting,which made us crazy and many people stared at us.What a shame for us。

In the US, KFC is not really a place where you hang out. It's more a place where you eat and run.

Sometimes, you will see some people just buy a coke and sit here for a whole morning or afternoon or night. Some of them are chatting, some are playing their mobile phones, some are doing their homework and so on. It's a very common phenomenon in China. People in KFC or McDonald's are not in order to eating, but killing time.

It's just funny to me because KFC doesn't strike me as a very comfortable place to hang out. Id rather choose a coffee shop for that.

Yeah..I kind of agree with you about this. But I also know that life is very hard for some people and maybe the only joy they can get during the day is to go to KFC and play video games.

I haven't seen this before, but I think it's quite common, despite the fact that they are that old men. Many people choose to consume their time by playing games in some public places, and I did do this kind of things before. I have nowhere to go so my friend and I stayed at the Mcdonald's, so I'm not suprised about this. But in fact, for me, these men at KFC having nothing to do just playing games seems really strange.

It is weird to me.I have never seen men(without women or kids) having fun in KFC like this,especially that old!Men,i think,are tend to gather in some formal places,not this kind of.Maybe they had nowhere to go at that time,then they chose to kill time in KFC because there is a place you can stay whenever you want.I don't think that's amusing because if they stared at me,that's quite terrifying.
