Do you like to party?
One of the first things that I noticed when I started teaching at university level in China was that Chinese students don't go to big parties like they do in the U.S. Chinese students like to get together and have dinner or go out to KTV but the idea of hanging out and getting drunk together doesn't seem to appeal to them.
In fact, it seems like most of my university students don't even like to drink alchohol. Maybe a beer here or there, but that's about it!
One of the reasons for this could be that lights go out at midnight - at least where I teach. And, you're supposed to be back in the dorm by 11pm. These regulations aren't conducive to big parties.
But I also think that partying just isn't a big part of the culture here. Unlike America, where students are more independent, Chinese students still feel the eyes of their parents bearing down on them and they know that partying and drinking could interfere with their studies.
Am I right about this or am I completely blind? Maybe there are parties...I just haven't been invited to any :). Do YOU like to party and drink or is this something that the Chinese just don't do very much?

As for a lively college student,I love to party without doubt. In a party,we can meet so many interesting strange people.we can talk. We can laugh. And you know,there is so many topic when girls go to party together like our dress. And I think，it is harmless for us to drink some alcoholic. I believe I can control myself

In fact，in china，the most way for friends to get union is going out to ktv ，chatting and having barbecue.Yeah， partying just isn't a big part of the culture here，but i am not saying that partying doesnt appeal to us.i think someday partying will be more and more popular in china.

i like to go to party ,because it is so cool.i am a active girl ,so i like lively environment.and through the party ,i think we can enhance our emotions,and it is a very good thing to relieve stress.if i have stress,party is a good way to forget the bad things ,and tomorrow is a beautiful day.

I do not agree with your interfering our studies. Personally,I think drinking is not health even harmful. Maybe the culture makes it different. Actually I love partying with classmates and friends. Hanging out is very interesting.

In the party,we can make more friend that we don't know it around us.

Many friends around me like drink alcohol , but they drink it when we go out to have dinner or KTV . Chinese students don't have a habit to hold parties,I think . I don't like drinking but I like taking part in parties which , I think, can improve my social skills and make some friends.

I do like party very much.Before i went to the college,i had been looking forward to attending the parties with my friends.To tell you the truth,i dream that i can meet my Mr.right just as the actress in the soap opera.Nevertheless,it seems to be more like a daydream.It is time to be awake.Maybe because there are different cultures bettwen China and America.

I think most of university students like party.But in china most of university students like singing and playing with their friends at KTV.I believe if someone at college who organize a party.More and more students will very happy to take part in.

To be honest,I'm not good at singing.So I won't take part in the parties fruquently those held in KTV.Other parties I may consider,of I have spare time ,I will go.

I love joining party.I think taking part in the party ,we can relax ourselves.We are associated with friends who we don't often meet.During the party,we can communicate with each other.But I don't drink or is this something that the Chinese just don't do very much,because my parents will worn me .They think a girl shouldn't drink beer or wine.
So, I think a party can contract with each other more often.

Although I have never take part in a party,I really like it very much.I am crazy about GOSSIP GIRL,the actresses in the serieses always hold a party,their dressing are beautiful,they attache a lot of people,they are the perfect persons in my heart.Becuase of them,I like the feeling of take part in a party,and then I could make-up myself and dress the most beautiful skirt to show out my confidence.At the same time,I can meet a lot of big people around us and make friends with them.

Of course, I'm happy to take part in a party,specially when our classmates can get together. we can recall what happened when we studied together. there were much wonderful memories among us. But once there is a party,there are wines. I hate beer and white wine. because we are too glad to control ourselves and often drink too much, someone vomit,while someone cry,have a quarrel, fight and so on. I love meeting old and good friends if there is no wine.

Sometimes i like go to party, but in China ,there is less chance to join the party. i think it is the different between China and America. In the party, we can make new friends and communicate with others there. also,we can learn something from them . But i don't like drinking. If i have a chance to go to the party, i will go, i will enjoy it.

sometimes,when I got lonely ,I really want a party ,together with the friends ,we say how we feel these days, and ask each other what is the plan in the future. everyone need friends,so the party can help us contract with each other often.

I do like a party with my friends and my classmates while I do not like a party with strangers.Because have a party with whom I am famililiar with that I can chat with them freely and eat,drink whatever I like.How-ever,in the strangers' party,I just feel embarrassed.
