How many children do you want to have?
Thanks to China's famous (or infamous) one-child policy, having just one child has become the 'norm' in Chinese culture. In fact, some Chinese people might even consider it 'unpatriotic' to have more than one child because of the population problem.
Yet, many Chinese parents have managed to get around this one-child policy. From time-to-time, I have encountered large families in China; by large, of course, I mean three or more children. They were able to 'thwart' this law by paying fines or simply 'flying under the radar'.
Large families in China are by no means common but perhaps more common than they were just a few years ago.
So what about you? How many children do you want to have? Is one child enough for you or do you dream of having lots of kids? And do you consider it 'unpatriotic' to have more than one child or does China have enough 'room' to have some large families?

Actually,I wanna have a girl.because I am the only child in my family. I am very eager to have a elder brother since I was a little girl. So,i will give birth to a boy first. Then I will have my darling daughter haha'

As to me，i would like to have 2 children，because i consider that having a child is unfair to that children.The child might be lonely without siblings，it doesnt have a way for him or her to share his or her happiness or sadness ，it's disadvantage for them to grow.

Ha ha~I am interested in this topic.I would like to have two children in the future. Boys are good, girls are better. But a boy and a girl is the best! I love children ,for they are lovable and innocent. Not three,because I have not enough energy to afford the third one.

i hope i can have 2 children ,a boy and a girl.because of the one-child policy ,i think people become much selfishness,and they show lttle care about others,which seems terrible for the current society. meanwhlie i think a person who has a boy and a girl is a very happy thing,and i hope i can have this happy.

As for me,I want to have a pair of twins.However,if I would have children in the future,i will obey the one-child policy.Considering the population explosion,I think everyone should make contributions to it,especially chinese.However I always hear my classmates say that they want to have more than two children.I think their thoughts are un practical and their behaviors are selfish.They just consider what they want but igore the human problem.And the government should strengthen the power of controlling the increasing population.

I just want to have two child in my future family.child is like investing ,if you don't let you child to be well-educated,your child may become a black sheep in the society.So,i don't want to have more children.

As for me, two children is the best.On one hand, if I just have one child , I am afraid that I will spoil him/her . On the other hand , just have one child ,he/she will feel lonely which I think is not good for child's growth .

I always want two children.Because two children will not be bored for another one. If I give birth to a boy first,I will give birth to a girl again.A youger sister can be protected by brother,it will be so good.And that is what I dream of in my childhood.

This topic I had discussed with my friends many years ago.I think that one child is enough.Perhaps I don't like children very much.In this society,taking care of children needs much money than before.For example,parents should pay more money in the interested courses.Parents want their children to be more excellent than other children.So parents spend more money on letting their children gain more abilities.so I think that one child is enough.

I need two children because I have to give birth one children if I marry with a guy,but I don't want my only child feel lonely,so I would like to have another one.One girl and one boy is perfect.But,today,in China,if you are in a farmer's family,you can have one baby or two,however,if your first children is a boy,you can't have the other anymore,or you will be punished by paying a huge number of money.Maybe you are not in a famer's family,you would have one child,no matter is a she or is a he,or the punishment is also the same.

Actually i want two children.A boy and a girl.I think if just have one child, he(she)may feel lonely sometime.Two children would fight or argue for sth like me and my brother.But when they grow up,they will be united and love each other very much.so i want two children.The older is a boy,then he can help me to take care of his sister.haha

The best result is two.One is a girl ,and the other is a boy.If there are two girls,they may always quarreling about the clothes and the things they have are similar.My experience with my younger sister is a good example.If there are two boys,I'm afraid that I could not control them it they are too naughty.

i felt a feeling of fear when someone spoke of giving birth to a baby. However,i would like to have a girl and a boy. I have imagined that i had a older brother in my family. Two children in a family can avoid the feeling of loneliness.

I think I need tow children, one of them is a boy ,another is a girl. because boy can help me to do work and I can educate him to how to be a real man and a boy can bring energy. A girl is important , too. She can look after her mother and me ,and she will help her mother do housework. so I think a boy and a girl are better!
