Thinking As a Hobby

There are seven deadly sins in the wold:pride,envy,wrath,sloth,greed,gluttony,and lust.

I have to say,I got 2 of them:sloth and gluttony.It's terrible.Especially sloth.I feel I'm being lazy and lazy.After the bigh exam.I sank myself in the ocean of spree(which just my imagination).Having parties,hanging out,drinking,BBQ..nope,I didn't do anything of them.I just being lazy.

I wanna write tonight.Actually I want to write every night,but I just being so lazy.and now,my small brain's compatibility doesn't allow me to carry on in this way.

I have a lot to say but I don't know what's my subject really is so I pick up Thinking As a Hobby as my title.There seems be an old saying:"Once human beings start to think,God will laugh."I'm not sure what it really means.My teacher said it's because human beings couldn't think until Eve ate the forbidden apple.I don't know.I guess there might be others explanations.I am not sure about that.

Thinking As a Hobby is an article we are learning right now in Intensive Reading Class.The author made a deep discussion about the topic.It's a little difficult for me to understand.Anyway,I have my own idea about thinking.

There are different kinds of thinking pattents:dialectic thinking,opposite thinking,critical thinking,creative thinking,divergent thinking etc..A lot and a lot.When I learnt those from class I wondered,what kind of thinking do I belong to?I have regarded myself thinking too much.So what kind of thinking?Maybe the conbination of them?I really thought I can think,I thought I have minds.I am not smart but I have minds.I thought,I am good at thinking.

However,when the teacher said,some of people thought they were thinking but, in fact,they were not.I was shocked.Can I think?If I can think,what do I think about?Finally I draw the cruel conclusion:Maybe on most occasions I was daydreaming!

Ok.I don't want to be a barbarian.I still can think.Thinking is not a job only for philosophers.When we make decisions,when we tell the truth or false,we think.Even babies can think when they learn to speak.The only difference is that philosophers think much more than we do;and they think deeper.So they are great philosophers and we are just lesser mortals!

I can think.This is a good news for me.And all of us can think.We are not animals(I'm not sure they have minds or not but I suppose they don't),not robots,not any other machines in the world.I wached a movied called Edward Sissorhands.It's about a robot who got the feeling of love.If robots really get the feelings,they have minds like human beings,I sure they gonna rule us and then rule this world.Isn't it horrible?

So,my conclusion is that,as a human being,we can think.But that's not enough,we should think more frequently.Taking thinking as a hobby,even just daydreaming.

(oh I finnaly figure out why God laughs,because most of us are daydreaming instead of thinking!)
